I love breeding the toy sized Australian Shepherd. They are so loving and easy to train. Each one looks so different- blue merle, red merle, black tri and red tri. My focus is the toy aussie ranging from 10-14 inches and averaging 8-14 lbs. Puppies are raised in our home as pets and with much love. Check out pups for sale and upcoming litters on the PUPPIES page.
I have been very lucky to obtain dogs from many blood lines including Fullerton, Peachstone, and Rare Earth. Most have BET lines increasing the chances of blue eyed tris. All have had genetic testing and results are in each dog's photo gallery.
The puppies are looking for their loving people to share a life with. They just want to be loved and to give love! They are great with kids. They are eager to learn obedience and even agility.
Our dogs are part of the family. Puppies are raised in our home and lovingly cared for by our family. They are held and pampered and spoiled. It is important to limit their exposure to disease, so we limit handling to the family. We want to do everything we can to ensure that all of our puppies go home healthy. We can send many pictures and videos.
All of our dogs are tested and most of our dogs have tested clear for entire panel. A couple are carriers but unaffected (Hercules carries PRA/PRCD and Atlas carries MDR1). Great care is taken to prevent carriers of the same disorder from breeding with each other. Puppies can also be tested to see if they are carriers. Results take about 3 weeks from Paw Prints genetics. All have ASDR registration and all but one (Xena) have known pedigree for at least 2 generations.
These are removed by vet at age 3-5 days to meet with breed standards. However, puppies that are not of show quality (mismarks) may have tails left on for those wanting tails.
Parvo given at 4 weeks and DHPP at 7 weeks. Past 8 weeks will continue the vet recommended vaccine schedule. All are dewormed with pyrantel pamoate at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks.
Puppies get started on solids at 4 weeks and are on regular puppy chow by 8 weeks. We currently use Royal Canin puppy small breed. 8 weeks is the typical age to go home. A vet exam is performed at 7 weeks to ensure good health before they travel.
Puppies start pee pad training at 4 weeks so they will be ready to start house training when they go home. Puppies will also be accustomed to sleeping in crates although not alone or with door closed.
